Call for Papers
Welcome to the Call for Papers Submission Page
If you have arrived at this page without reading the calling notice email, it is repeated below:
"It is with great pleasure that the Conference Committee issues the call for papers for the UKAPMP Annual Conference, which is being held on the 19th – 20th October in Oxford.
Attendance at The UKAPMP Annual Conference has grown every year, and to speak at this prestigious event is an opportunity not to be missed.
We therefore invite you to present and share your experience, insights and knowledge, to enable others to improve their approach to proposals and develop their skills.
We are looking for 3 types of presentation to support:
Further details on these presentations can be found below.
Skills development workshops
These will be primarily practical and interactive sessions in which the facilitator will provide participants with an opportunity to develop their skills. Topics may be varied, encompassing the myriad disciplines relevant to bid and proposal management. For example: bid qualification, requirements management, risk management or proposal writing, graphics, storyboarding, internal and external reviews presenting skills, etc. Sessions focussed on specific APMP Accreditation Competency Areas will be very welcome.
Intelligence briefings
These sessions will provide an opportunity for participants to gather information on specialist topics relevant to their work. Speakers may be drawn from outside the proposal profession. Possibilities include presentation of survey findings (e.g. amongst procurement officers or other decision makers), analysis of regulatory changes affecting procurement or insights into business trends affecting the bid function.
Case studies
We would be interested to hear from delegates who would be able to devote a whole session to an in-depth study of a bidding event, highlighting the challenges involved in making the bid, an assessment of the processes that were followed, analysis of critical success factors and lessons learned.
Time scales
To submit the synopsis of your paper, please note the following.
1. This is a competitive process, not all speakers will be selected.
2. The selection of your paper will be entirely on the submission you are about to make.
3. All fields are character limited. This is because we are space limited in the brochure. The words you use to sell your talk to us will be the same words used to sell your talk to conference delegates. There is a 'toggle button' you can use to check your character count, please use it, as characters that exceed the limit will not be forwarded to the judges.
4. Good luck!
